This leading asset management practice has created a Head of Policy role for their market renowned investment management and financial services regulatory practice. 

Working with the relevant partners, associates and a range of clients, you will confidently advise on the impact of any changes in European policy. In addition to this, alongside the partners in the group, you will have general responsibility for helping the development of the asset management practice. 

This role is all about profile raising and practice development; developing and pursuing client initiatives and engaging with peers, the press and industry bodies on a commercial and technical level.

You will be a highly accomplished lawyer with no less than 6 years’ PQE. You will be at partner or a senior counsel level at a city law firm or an in-house counsel within an asset manager. However, candidates who can otherwise demonstrate the necessary experience, drive and gravitas would be considered.

The day to day will include, but not be limited to:

• Responses to consultations by the FCA and other relevant regulators;
• Articles in the asset management press;
• Industry and technical bodies.
• Attending and speaking at asset management focussed events.
• Articles in the trade press;
• Trade and industry events.
• Contribute, and co-ordinate the contribution of others to client mailings, client seminars, and specific education
• Assist with the development and delivery of targeted market propositions and initiatives;
• Develop relationships with potential clients and perform relationship management role where appropriate.
